Through the eyes of an avid birdwatcher and with the deft of a trained watercolor artist, Kiley Busko paints her insightful animal observations as seen on her many walks in Minnesota down The North Country Trail. This Northern fauna exhibition highlights the unexpected moments in ordinary habitat that illustrate the unique character of each chosen species. Delicate watercolor brushstrokes painted in a contemporary manner express the inner most tendencies and actions of over 25 different mammals and birds. A frolicking North American River Otter displays concurrent with an acrobatic Black-capped Chickadee bouncing in mid-flight, all animals combine to capture a moment of the impressive wildlife that surrounds our daily lives, if you just take a moment to notice.
