Launch into the new year with our featured exhibition of exploratory sculptural abstractions by local artist and innovator, Matthew Nolan. This series entitled, “Momentary”, is an experimental approach to three-dimensional form that combines an exciting array of media such as architecturally driven wall hangings, intricate jewelry fabrications, and tabletop metal castings all comprised of a variety of natural and inorganic materials. Nolan’s highly detailed constructions involve a labyrinth of structural ornamentation that extends to entice the eye and add dynamic complexity. An in-the-moment process of creation that pioneers a new frontier of leading-edge sculpture.
