Allison Koon makes modern clothing using traditional quilting techniques. This collection is inspired by the image of well-loved vintage textiles hanging out to dry in the sun: bright, airy, and comforting. With details like frayed edges, patchwork-inspired piecing, and coconut-shell buttons, each garment has a story to tell. Each piece is handmade in her home studio in Saint Paul and is made to last. Over time, the cotton fabric will grow softer and conform to the wearer’s body.
Allison has a BFA in Studio Art and Art History from St. Olaf College and has been sewing since she was a child. She hopes you enjoy wearing these pieces as much as she enjoyed making them.
