Coming from an Architecture and Interior Design background, I am influenced by the industrial world which is why I utilize sterling and fine silver in a very raw, darkened state. This gives the work a rustic feel, however, to soften the pieces, color and texture is added by incorporating semi-precious stones, leather and suede. Given my background in Architecture and Design for almost 20 years where buildings are developed with strong geometries and 90 degree angles, it is seemingly odd to me that most of my resulting work is asymmetrical and free-form in nature. I strive to develop a very carefully orchestrated balance between scale, proportion, color and texture to make each piece special and unique.
